onthewayout.. Does that still apply? That an elder can commit a sin, even adultary and if no-one within the cong know about it he can repent and remain as an elder?
Also does it still remain that it only applys to elders, not pioneers or min servants?

To Angel Eyes & Other WT Apologists
by snowbird init has come to my attention that a much-beloved poster on this forum has been hurt by the insensitivity shown toward her account of how badly she was treated by the wt.. i realize this is a place where are all welcome, and barring any posting guidelines violations, we are free to air our views without fear of any backlash.. however, please keep in mind that most posters here - yours truly being one of them - view the wt in a negative light.
with all the evidence out there pertaining to its deceitfulness, how can anyone view it otherwise?.
i reached out to you, angel eyes, because i sense that you need a friend.

What Things Were YOU Counseled For?
by minimus inelders love to counsel people.
it feeds their ego.
over the years, you must've been counseled on different things.. when i was almost of age to become a ms, an elder counseled me for my "lack of seriousness".

I was at a bookgroup once and whilst reading a scripture i could see someone laughing near to me so i burst out laughing, after the meeting the elder said " if your struck by lightening on your way home you'll know why"...id been baptised 2months!!

things i never questioned, but now that i'm more knowledgable about this cult, i hate on these non bible based rules.. they use the nice word "principles" but we all know what they really mean.

Yh i am jw BUT i never heard these things over here..well not since i been in and ive been in 12years!!!
I have to ask because i cant believe some of the things and i know some wouldnt lie so I always check first incase its a joke and then i'll speak with my elders...i honestly am gob smacked!!!!!! shocked....it doesnt make sense that its one rule for one place and another for another...
Maybe im seeing the jw in a diff light?? Hmmmmmmmmm its good im starting to question though...?? isnt it?

Men can not have sideburns passed the ear lobe. - WTF? IS this true or you jesting????
Women can NOT have their legs exposed in the summer time, must wear stockings. I dont wear tights or anything on my legs in the summer!! its way too hot....is this an old thing?
Men can NOT have beards or goatee's, not even lightly/nicely trimmed ones WOT!!! my hubby has a goatee.
Must have suit jacket buttoned if on stage (really dont have to worry about this one anymore, but it's still stupid) AY????
Are you joking when you say this??? I really would like to know because i will definately talk to my elders....my husband has a goatee and no one has said a word and he has priviledges!!! so i really want to have answers, if its not a joke??
